The New York Association of Black Journalists will honour superstar Beyonce for an article she “wrote” for Essence titled Eat, Play, Love (click here to read the “award winning” article).
The article was published in July 2011 and detailed her nine-month “break” away from the spotlight.
Essence’s entertainment director gushed, “she’s a real writer”.
…
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
What a load of rubbish.
What is wrong with the New York Association of Black Journalists????
Perhaps I am being cynical here but shouldn’t this coveted award go to the ghost writer? I refuse to believe that Beyonce Carter actually sat in front of a computer and wrote that article. It wouldn’t surprise me if she just sat down with an Essence junior writer, answered questions relating to her time away from the spotlight, and that writer then took all that information and turned it in to the article Eat, Play, Love.

Bloody farce.
I don’t know how this woman does it? She’s overated in terms of beauty, talent etc yet the media seems to love her so much! I assume the association just wanted it to get noticed, i refuse to beleive that the woman who wrote bug a boo is a talented writer
I’m studied journalism for years and things like this just piss me off, this is why people don’t take black people seriously
i know the Michelle Obama letter was just a quick note but that can’t be the same person that wrote both.
The national association of black journalist? No wonder
