The Brit Awards 2012 took place in London several hours ago and it was a snorefest. The ceremony was drier than stale bread and the audience made up of industry folk lacked enthusiasm as usual.
The tributes to Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse (Rest In Peace) were both pitiful. I don’t even know what that was.
Bruno Mars gave the best performance. Well done Bruno!
I am still trying to understand why Olly Murs and Rizzle Kicks were invited to perform.
Rapper/’singer’ Plan B seriously needs to eat something.
Jessie J went home empty handed. But at least she has a couple of MOBO awards on her mantle piece 🙂
Singer Ed Sheeran picked up two awards and on both occasions FAILED to thank SBTV founder Jamal Edwards who championed his career from the very beginning by using SBTV to help promote Ed and his music.
Well it looks like old Jamal has served his purpose and is about to learn some valuable lessons here. But I suppose he should feel grateful that Ed, his label and management allowed him to sit at their table throughout the evening (sarcasm).

Very surprised that Jessie J didn’t walk away with an award. The only reason Adele probably won anything is because of her success in America!
the show could have shaved off 30minutes. there are not that many awards. enjoyed adele n rihanna performances
What a shit show. Happy for Adele and Ed, but I was bored out my brain. As for the so called tribute to Amy and Whitney, what a liberty. The organisers of that show need two kick!!! As for Jamal, LMAO!!! Dem that dont learn, will have to feel lol
I think the Brits were just ok, a bit too predictable and polished. I really enjoyed the Bruno Mars performance though, that was great.
I don’t think it is any big deal that Ed Sheeran didn’t mention SBTV. I don’t think Jamal is choked up about it but that’s just me.
Jamal has been there supporting him from the start. There is something slightly off about him not thanking Jamal. But it’s also typical and like I said before he is about to learn some valuable lessons here….
As for Jamal not being choked up about it… he might not be choked up but deep down he must feel a little hurt he wasn’t acknowledged last night. SBTV really did help Ed.
Without SBTV giving Ed the co-sign of cool/street/”urban” credibility, who would have been interested in hearing what a chubby ginger kid with an acoustic guitar was all about? Ed is talented but I’m sure it would have taken him a lot longer to reach where he is today without Jamal and SBTV. It just would have been nice for him to give a shout out that’s all.
50 Cent shouted out Eminem everytime he was onstage before he came out, When Em blew up he shouted him back. its just common courtesy, unless you’re the figure head of a TeamUK company, then you get pushed aside after pocketing your 50 pieces of silver…
Yeh Jamal will learn a lesson. It pisses me off white people do this all the time, use black people or black music to get in and then give the music or the people no credit. KMT
Janice I love you for pointing this out. I like Ed Sheeran and think he’s talented but the SB.TV co-sign was important and gave him ‘street’ credibility that helped his cause, Lets not forget the EP that got Ed his label deal had collaborations with grime artists on every song.
@Nemat
You know me I always go where others fear to tread LOL
So the European snubbed the Negro hand that fed him eh? Well, did we expect any other behaviour from whitey? Jamal Edwards needs to also do himself a favour and get rid of that team of his or at lest swap some of the members and bring some black folks up in that piece. As I stated before, it isn’t his project to control anymore, his power has been usurped big time.
Oh no! Not old looking Adele again! For me she comes off as the biggest fake ever! Not to mention she look 40! Yuk! But i will say she can sing….i didn’t say sang!!! Well the Brit awards sounds like the grammys here… Boring as hell..not many Blacks won….
