Levi Roots admitted in the High Court yesterday that he lied about the origins of his Reggae Reggae Sauce recipe.

The Reggae Reggae sauce entrepreneur Levi Roots has admitted that he lied on Dragons’ Den when he claimed that the recipe had been handed down by his grandmother.
Roots denied that he stole the recipe from his former best friend Tony Bailey, who claims it was his secret recipe that was taken on to the BBC programme in 2007, the high court has heard. Continue Reading…

I don’t know if he stole the sauce or not but people create stories like he did all the time
The thing is many brands create stories so a non issue. Think Iman was meant to be in the desert herding sheep when in fact she was a uni student. so go figure. But if his friends and him both used the sauce then he should give them a small cut and let them go away.

he just admitted it!!! so he should pay his mate some money not all but some!! or a portion!!
sidenote – Levi Roots is the same guy who not only wants to give his ex-friends a cut he also does not want to give up his council house so a lesser off family can live there. If you are able to pay out potentially 600k in a lawsuit you should be on your war ducky.

He has only admitted to lying about the sauce being passed down from his grandmother (marketing ploy). But he hasn’t admitted to stealing the sauce from Tony Bailey. Bailey’s QC will have to prove that.
what else has he been lying about…….the possibility that he actually did steal it perhaps and that he’s not a real chef? Hmmmmmmm!!
Reggae Reggae sauce is nothing but ketchup mixed with HP sauce anyway! Thats the big secret ingredient lol
