Producer/artist Labrinth teams up with Tinie Tempah on his new single Earthquake.
…..
Earthquake actually sounds pretty good, decent production, but Labrinth could have done without featuring Tinie on the track, and he needs to decide whether he is going to rap/sing in his monotone English accent or an American accent.
The Video – People have been hyping up this video saying it’s “SICK” and “AMAZING” , but in my opinion it’s just alright. The video just reminds me of an 1980s style video game.
Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?
Hit!!!!!! This is fiyah!!!!! Everything about this track is bangin’!!! Even the Tinie feature fits!!!!!
I like the video too!!!
Love this track. Labrinth is very much about his music. Have to tip my hat off!
Quick q – what happened to the other song? You know the one, the one with Sunshine in it…
@Adaobi: It came out as a single last year september and peaked at No.3 on the uk charts. It has a video.
So…that was his debut single.
Yep guess it was. But I don’t remember it.
Thanks Nova.
I loved that song. It’s really good. I think his album is going to be a great pop “urban” (hate that word) album
@Adaobi yeah it was his first single but Tinie was so big last year it wasn’t a major talking point. “pass out” was huge and his involvement in that eclipsed his own debut single in my opinion
@Karl Nova, I agree with you. People forget Labrinth produced “Pass Out”. Tinies best song to date
I don’t remember his first single at all. I really do like Labrinth though.
I like this track! Great production.
I know he’s signed to Simon Cowell’s label but the shout out to Simon and “turning ’em Syco” line is a bit uncool though
Earthquake is a sick tune. He makes really raw music for a neek. His more rugged TeamUK team mates should be ashamed
They play his first single during the Talk Talk bits (idents?) on XFactor. You must know it MadNews & co. It’s a sick tune. Think they rushed it out to capitalise on the Pass Out & Frisky buzz then sent him on artist development stuff hence the delay between singles.
Labrinth also produced “Wonderman” for Tinie which is arguably one of the best songs on Tinie Tempah’s album. I think this guy has something.
I like this song.
For some reason I don’t think he should try to be an artists, I have said before that Labrinth should focus on writing and producing for other people (thats where the money is anyway). This should’ve been Tinie’s first single from the next album, I realy think it would’ve been huge, but what do I know anyway.
i like the video!
What genre of music is this please
