I keep hearing positive things about Jay-Z’s protegé J Cole but I never bothered listening to any of his work until his new single Work Out landed in my inbox late last night. The track – He opens singing the chorus to Paula Abdul’s ’89’ hit debut single Straight Up which threw me a little.
