the question i have
but is she allowed to make the make the music she truly wants to make?
no point us dwelling on seven albums .. if the artist making them is not allowed to be her true self?
I like a lot of her music but her last music was just ok. But i wish this sister luck. So Ty do you think she’s not making music she truly wants?
MORENO.,, i have to be subtle
i know that musically she has to answer to the decisions her label and management make
especially if you want to remain on a major label
so … NOT COMPLETELY!!
@ Ty, she’s no longer on a major label, she parted ways with Parlaphone a couple years back and created her own independent label. Her next release is a homage to Black Brit soul and features remakes of tracks like Fairplay and Mama Used to Say. I must get round to blogging about it… one day, lol
And still managing to release albums that do pretty well. I respect the woman’s hustle.
Ty i feel you! She does have a good voice… so i wish her continued success. But why is it that most labels want you to do what they want? I mean i get the whole scheme of things. But a lot of artist have a good insite on what could also sell as well. Most think people don’t want to hear this or that… not true all the time
KEYSHA i am glad to hear it … looks like a return to form .. for her i will watch more closely i had to swich off for a while wasnt feeling where they were taking her!!
