Protein® is pleased to host the first European “TRUE Hip-Hop” exhibition and book launch, a collection of photographs by New York-based photographer Mike Schreiber shot over a 12 year period. Mike Schreiber will present 14 of his most famous photos from his book ‘TRUE Hip-Hop’ which features artists like M.I.A, Mos Def, Nas, Eminem and Wu Tang Clan. The exhibition, curated by Zeyna Sy, is open to the public from May 20-26 2011 and provides a deep insight into the daily lives of hip-hop musicians, exclusively capturing them in a raw and candid light.

A live Q&A session conducted by Zezi Ifore will take place on the night.

Mike Schreiber is self-taught and has been shooting professionally since 1997. Recognised as one of the music industry’s top photographers, his work has been featured in magazines such as Esquire, Rolling Stone, VIBE, XXL and Spin. Mike’s clients include Atlantic, Epic, SONY and Universal Records.
