UK NEWS: HUSBAND ARRESTED OVER WIFE’S DEATH

Victim Anni Dewani and Shrien Dewani

Via BBC News

The husband of a woman murdered on her honeymoon has been arrested in the UK at the request of the South African authorities, police said.

Anni Dewani, 28, from Sweden, was shot after being kidnapped while in a taxi with her husband Shrien last month.

On Tuesday, taxi driver Zola Tongo told Western Cape High Court he was offered 15,000 rand (£1,400) by Shrien Dewani, 31, from Bristol, to kill his wife.

Mr Dewani was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to murder his wife.

He is due to appear before the City of Westminster magistrates later, the Metropolitan Police said.

Mr Dewani’s family have described the allegations as “totally ludicrous”.

Scotland Yard said Mr Dewani, from Westbury-on-Trym, had been arrested in the UK following an extradition request by prosecutors in South Africa. Continue Reading….

I watched Shrien Dewani’s PUBLICIST Max Clifford this morning on breakfast TV show Daybreak, standing outside his lavish home protesting his client’s innocence. I just shook my head in disgust.

I still cannot believe the man hired a publicist.

Hopefully what’s being hidden in the dark will eventually come out in to the light.

Rest In Peace Anni Dewani.

  1. All the evidence is not in. It seems like a witch hunt. Did he own a life insurance policy on his wife? They looked very happy in their photos. Was there perhaps some jealousy towards the marriage? Why would a money oriented flashy husband kill his beautiful wife who was potentially going to be a reality star? It just doesn’t make sense. The business debt doesn’t seem unrealistic either. They had many locations. Everyone needs to take a step back, slow down and think. If you were set up, would you want to go back to the place where they killed your wife?

    What????

“If you were set up, would you want to go back to the place where they killed your wife?”

No I would fly back to Britain days after my wife’s murder and hire Max Clifford as my publicist.

  3. Asam :If you were set up, would you want to go back to the place where they killed your wife?

He was asked to go back to SA to identify the suspect. So your spouse gets murdered and you DON’T want to help identify the man that took their life?

Err yeah, I’d do what Janice said, come back to the UK and hire Max Clifford.
