Oscar nominated British film In The Loop which was backed by The Film Council
The new coalition government has decided to axe the UK Film Council, as part of their bid to save money.
The Film Council was set up by the Labour government in 2000 to develop and promote the British film industry.
This news has shocked me. The organisation has helped to fund so many great projects over the years.
