Nike released the pretty impressive Write The Future commercial, promoting the World Cup just before it kicked off in South Africa on June 11th.
Now people are calling the commercial the ‘curse of Nike’,’ because most of the players featured along with their team mates didn’t perform well (particularly England (waste men) and France) and have now all been knocked out of the tournament.
Tennis champion Roger Federer also appears in the commercial and he was spectacularly knocked out of the Wimbledon tournament on Wednesday.

Nah no curse. I never expected any of the teams in this advert to really go far. I don’t believe the hype until I actually see how they play on the field.

Maybe next time, they could make the hands of God edition. I’ve never been so happy to move house – I missed Ghana v Uruguay. Only found out the score a few minutes ago. Oh well…shame…history will not write a note on the score.

haha Ah Suarez. Ah well he was given a red card and a penalty was given to Ghana at the last minute. I mean Gyan should’ve buried that for Ghana and if he did folks wouldn’t really be talking about Suarez now not that I’m saying what Suarez did was right…
He’s actually seen as a hero now, the whole taking one for the team. I stopped a CERTAIN goal, while Gyan messed up a POTENTIAL goal…Oh well…off to my flight.
True a penalty is a potential goal, the crazy thing is he converted a penalty immediately after in the shoot out by being the 1st man to step up and take it. He must be kicking himself right now!
