So Solid star Mega Man sat down and shared his views on today’s UK “Urban” music scene and it’s artists.

Mega made some pretty good points. And I will always respect what So Solid achieved all those years ago. I’m only sorry it didn’t last.
However is the track playing in the background going to be Mega’s new single?
If so then…
NO COMMENT!

very good points!!!
The “Funky Fresh” track playing in the background isn’t the track that goes with the video shoot, in fact thats an old funky house track that belongs to So Solid member, MAC.
Thank God for that!
Haaaaaa!
The track is produced by DJ Sponge (Get Rich Crew)
Its wayyyy better than the Funly Fresh tune lol
Video should be released real soon
Well, file this under ‘things I never thought I’d say’ but I agree with Megaman. British artists (not ‘artises’ as he was so irritatingly prone to say)and fans alike are guilty of being more than a bit fairweather – just jump on whatever hype is going at the time. If everyone took a bit of time to nurture the type of music that’s emerging, we might actually have a good little scene going on there that gets some attention outside of our fair shores.
Mainstream success is fine, as he said, but it’s important, for a lot of reasons, that it goes a little deeper.
Hooooooold uuuuuppp!
Good points BUT it’s not that simple
what killed So Solid’s movement? Now that So Solid are making a comeback what great “urban” music are they making? Is it “since you went away”?
Back in their hey day garage popped up and crossed over but due to the bad press caused by road man fans the movement was killed.
Even mainstream rap music in America has been watered down to become pop so it’s not much different from here with chipmunk and the rest
so it ain’t that simple if it was Ty should be topping the charts with “special kind of fool”

and personally I ain’t buying what MegaMan is selling in that video clip, not at all.
Ps… The devil could make good points, so too could Hitler… but it wouldn’t be wise to buy what they sell / sold lol.
Just my view anyhow.
Exactly as for grime crossing over, that angry, roadman, shoot em up, hardcore grime? It will never crossover even in So Solid’s garage days they had songs like “ride wid us” and “haters” that were underground smashes but it took the catchy, poppy, commercial sing a long “21 seconds” to go number 1.
As much as I’m not into everything topping the charts right now, I don’t see it as anything much different from back then
what happened to that mulatto girl . Liza Maffia though ?
