Damon Dash blames the recession for his financial issues, according to YRB.
Dash has said that because he is famous, his business was thrown open to the public and he believes his money problems were unfairly scrutinised in the press following the sale of his shares in Roc-A-Fella Records and Rocawear clothing.
He said to YRB: “I started to go through a lot of bad press all of a sudden. Like, the recession hit everybody, but me being a businessman and motherf*ckers getting caught up in the storm, all my issues were completely public.
“And completely exaggerated. So the recession sh*t happens. I don’t give a f*ck.”
So spending astronomical amounts of money on trainers (sneakers) that you only “wore once” before disposing of them, flaunting your wealth whenever possible, and bad business decisions had nothing to do with it Dame?
