MAKE-OVER FOR SOUTH AFRICAN GENDER ROW CHAMPION

Via BBC News South African runner Caster Semenya, whose gender was queried by athletics officials, has defended her looks and taken part in a makeover in a magazine. Ms Semenya, the 800m world champion, posed for the cover of South Africa’s You magazine. “I am who I am and I am proud of myself,” the 18-year-old said. “I’d like to dress up more often and wear dresses but I never get the chance,” she said as she was photographed in several outfits. UK MUSIC: WAR CHILD – ‘I GOT SOUL’

The single I Got Soul has been recorded to raise money for the charity War Child and features Tinchy Stryder, N-dubz, Pixie Lott, Kid British, V V Brown, amongst others. UK NEWS: JACK TWEED CHARGED WITH RAPE

BBC News Jack Tweed, the widower of reality television star Jade Goody, has been charged with rape. The 22-year-old was charged with one count of rape over an alleged attack at an address in Redbridge, Essex, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said. OLD SKOOL RAPPER ROXANNE SHANTE EXPOSED!

For several years now old skool rapper Roxanne Shante (real name Lolita Shanté Gooden) has been telling the world that she earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Marymount Manhatten  College and received her PhD in Psychology from Cornell University. We were also led to believe that Warner Music Group funded Roxanne’s education because of some clause in her recording contract with them. But it was all lies I’m afraid!
