ICE CUBE AND BOW WOW SET TO STAR IN NEW FILM ‘LOTTERY TICKET’

Ice Cube Rapper Bow Wow and rapper/actor Ice Cube will star in the new film comedy entitled Lottery Ticket. According to Digital Spy  music video director Erik White is on board to steer the movie, which is about a young man in the projects who holds a winning lottery ticket worth $350 million. He must rebuff attempts from his opportunistic neighbour to steal the ticket over the weekend. Abdul Williams wrote the script for the comedy, which has moved from its original home at Rogue []

MASSIVE ATTACK STRIKES WEBSITES

Via BBC News High-profile websites including Google, Facebook and Twitter have been targeted by hackers in what is described as a “massively co-ordinated attack”. Other sites such as the blogging platform Live Journal were also reportedly targeted. PREGNANT PRISONER IN UK CUSTODY

Via BBC News A pregnant Briton jailed for smuggling heroin in Laos has been handed to UK Ministry of Justice officials, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said. The transfer took place in Vientiane, capital of Laos. Samantha Orobator will now return to the UK to give birth and serve out her life sentence in Britain. Orobator, 20, from Peckham, south London, was caught with 1.5lb (680g) of heroin in August last year. She avoided Laos’s mandatory death penalty because of her pregnancy. []

FIRST BLACK SUPER MODEL NAOMI SIMMS DIES

Via NY Daily News Naomi Sims, the first black supermodel, died of cancer Saturday in Newark at age 61, the New York Times reports. Sims broke barriers when she made the cover of Ladies Home Journal in 1968 — becoming the first black model to do so on a mainstream women’s magazine.
