MAJOR excitement today over at Twitterville……..
Comedian Kojo’s show, Kojo’s Comedy Fun House aired last night on MTV Base, and it’s been announced that it achieved the highest ratings on Base.
Congratulations Kojo!
I tuned in for the first time ever last night and the show had a Wild ‘N’ Out / talent show feel to it.
Viewers were treated to performances from Bashy, Lethal B, ‘singer’ Estelle’s sister and some other artists, numerous games (the games were pretty dull to watch / didn’t come across well on TV), and shots of actor Idris Elba sitting in the audience with an amused look on his face.
The comedians featured in all honesty need more time to perfect their craft. A lot of the jokes were old and lacked originality.
Only one comedian (I forget his name now but his hair was braided in to a bun) made me smile.
But other then that the show was more miss then hit for me.
However it’s still early days, and I am confident that as time goes by the show’s content and the quality of comedic talent featured will improve.
