Mariah Carey and Trey Lorenz sang the classic ‘Ill Be There’

Today Mariah apologised for her poor performance yesterday.

She said,

“Trying to sing today was basically impossible for me. I could barely keep myself from crying. I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to pull it together and really do it right, but I was literally choked up when I saw him there in front of me”.

Mariah, you always sound like that when you dare to sing live. Post- 2000, this has been the ‘norm’ with you. So I’m not buying your excuse.

Stevie Wonder – “I Never Dreamed You’d Leave In Summer” and “My Destiny”.

This made me cry.

Usher – ‘Gone too Soon’

I thought that this was quite moving. But the cynics out there think that Usher was faking and they hated the ‘theatrics’.

However I will say that he could have done without wearing those ridiculous dark shades. They only proved to be a distraction.
