Pop star Madonna holds Mercy, the little girl who she desperatly wants to adopt. The singer’s agent released this photograph to the media several days ago.
So many thoughts ran through my head when I first spotted this photograph yesterday.
Here are four of those thoughts.
1) They could have at least waited until Mercy was awake before taking this photograph.
2) The expression on that little boy’s face is priceless.
3) Madonna sitting amongst the “natives” and cradling a child just reminds me of those old photographs of European ‘missioneries’ sitting amongst their flock.
4) Great photo op!

………
It’s good that she should adopt but this photo is abit desperate. I’ll go 4 the missionary option.
I second one to four, but I just can’t figure out, whats really up with Madonna?, surely she can’t be craving media attention so much that she will use ppl to get a lil 2mins mention, that is so desperate (I know she wouldn’t be the first celeb to resist bowing out the game gracefully, and surrending to kicking and screaming) but it’s just to sad to be a reality, tell me it’s not, and that she geniunely cares…
somebody…
anybody lol
fr, she cares, the photo is over the top. Lol
so she does care then, but is killing two birds with one stone lol, I see
Little black babies for sale, come and get them! Is she for real?
I’m late catching up with these posts…!
Anyway. There was real interesting article about this portrait by a photographer Martin Parr’ in The Guardian when it was published. “The Power Of Sepia Tone”.
Do read. It all makes sense.
