The Jamaican Broadcasting Commission has banned all sexually explicit music, and music that depicts violence, from the country’s airwaves.
The ban went into effect on Feb. 6. It covers all songs meant to promote the act of “daggering,” a dance move that simulates sexual intercourse.
The ban includes music played on both radio and television. DJs have no leeway in the ban because the songs can’t be played even if the lewd lyrics are bleeped. Continue Reading….

I’ve seen this “dance move”. Some couples just get carried away and end up looking ridiculous on the dance floor

I always feel like shouting “ALRIGHT STOP NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Ha only verbs can tell us. But i have seen some jamaican moves and they all seem to be geared towards such. Are they going to ban dancing altogether? Hmmm
Think this is a bit late really… but thats IMO.
Such ideas seem good on the surface but what is the ultimate goal……to take away all your rights and freedoms period. I’ll have to side with FR on this one, its a bit too late for this one…..or maybe just the right time for an alternative hidden agenda.
This is plain stupid
the obama effect!
I am sayin’ tho this is how they dance in the clubs…… all I can say is get a room!!!
I am like this, if you don’t like it don’t watch or go to the clubs…. what the hell are you going to do? Put police in the clubs??
Crazy crazy!!!
By the way Jamaica has deeper issues than this ban on dancing and misogynistic lyrics… they kill people for being gay and look the other way!! I say work on that!!
To be honest I doubt people will take must notice of this new rule there.
As a Caribbean chick I am around dancehall 24/7. That isnt going to make one difference by banning this. People going to dagger all over the place. LMAO. Dancehall been using offensive language for as long as I can remember. This is going to fall on deaf ears. Hell Ele might make up a new banning dance.
