Two weeks ago I happened to catch a glimpse of morning breakfast show ‘GMTV’, and spotted a ‘colourful’ blast from the past.
56 year old fitness guru Mr Motivator (real name Derrick Evans).
At first I thought GMTV had gone back in time to 1993 when Mr Motivator worked hard to get Britain fit in his ultra bright, tight, lycra outfits.
But no! The Motivator has returned to GMTV after leaving the show 8 years ago, and he is still wearing the same old outfits (LOL).
Evans return is part of GMTV’s attempt to encourage people to get fit.
He will travel around the UK visiting overweight viewers to try and get them motivated and healthy.
I have to admit though, the man still looks incredibly fit.
The Motivator has sold more than 1.7 million videos of his award-winning Mr Motivator Bums Legs Tums series. He holds the record for selling the most fitness DVDs in the UK.

You can’t argue with those stats and his financial longevity, but the brother has to lose the outfits. Too tight, too colourful !!! 🙂
would a tracksuit bottoms and t-shirt not do, come on brother, I know u like bright colours, but come on man it’s 2009 lol….
I wonder how many sisters he has dated since joining GMTV all them years ago, Ha!
@Fr.
I know this isn’t the early 90s.
He used to date athelete Tessa Sanderson.
Tessa,…for real! hummmm
u know whats funny, in them days we (my fam) would look at black folk on tv as sell outs, they way they behaved, (knowing it now as ‘the game’) but some of them where probably quite hardback, dating tessa,.. gwan! lol
Without the tracksuits I doubt he would have been a quarter as successful. Thought he was cool. I liked Rusty Lee aswell anyone remember her?
Yes I remember Rusty and THAT LAUGH……
The government later found out that she was claiming income support while still working on TV.
“The government later found out that she was claiming income support while still working on TV.”
