A passenger aircraft has burst into flames while landing at the main airport in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.
Sudanese officials say about 100 people are believed to have been killed out of the 203 passengers and crew on board.
The plane was landing in stormy weather when an engine caught fire, the airport’s director told Sudanese TV.
Sudanese officials said it was a Sudan Airways flight from the Jordanian capital Amman via Damascus, Syria.
TV footage showed the wreckage consumed by flames as emergency crews tried to fight the fire in the darkness. Continue Reading….
