UK NEWS: BLACK BRITON TO MAKE NORTH POLE HISTORY

Ex-soldier turned adventurer John Thompson hopes to make history by becoming the first black Briton to reach the North Pole. Thompson, who is from Hackney East London, will set off on his trip this month (April) for charity. The money raised will be donated to Cancer Research. CLIVE DAVIS REPLACED BY BARRY WEISS AS BMG LABEL HEAD

2008 SOUL TRAIN MUSIC AWARDS CANCELLED. NO EXPLANATION GIVEN.

Reuters Life is reporting that the Soul Train Music Awards has been cancelled without explanation.   The brainchild of former Chicago DJ Don Cornelius, “Soul Train” was due to celebrate its 22nd award show this year, but a spokeswoman for the program said the show would not go ahead as planned. Continue Reading      Last year only D-Z list celebrities attended this event.
