UK MUSIC: WRETCH 32 FT ETTA BOND – FORGIVENESS

Check out Wretch 32’s new single Forgiveness featuring Etta Bond, produced by Labrinth. …. Strong production and a decent hook. It’s radio friendly and Wretch will no doubt end 2011 with a Top 5 hit. Also judging by the video compilation below a Life Time Achievement Award will probably be next too. ….. Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

PICS OF THE DAY: CHIPMUNK AND WRETCH 32 ATTEND DAPPY’S PARTY AT MOVIDA

UK rappers Chipmunk and Wretch 32 attended N-Dubz star Dappy’s party over the weekend and helped him to celebrate his first solo number 1 single at London’s Movida nightclub. A source who was in attendance disclosed that Chipmunk walked around wearing shades throughout the evening in an almost pitch dark night club. There are no words… hahahaha. UK MUSIC: WRETCH 32 FT JOSH KUMRA – ‘DON’T GO’

People seem to be losing their minds over Wretch 32 and his new single Don’t Go featuring singer Josh Kumra.  I just listened to it for the first time today and it will probably do well in the charts.  This is a “love rap/song” and Wretch looks all “sad” and “vulnerable” in the video (fantastic acting), so this should melt the hearts of all the teenage girls out there. Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss? ………………………………………………………….. Check out Wretch’s interview with Huey Morgan from the group []

UK MUSIC: NATHAN FT WRETCH 32 – HANGOVER

Singer Nathan teams up with rapper Wretch 32 on his new single Hangover. …………………………………………………… I really like the song, however it does sound uncannily like Jamie Fox’s Blame It (On The Alcohol). Hangover could have done without featuring Wretch 32. When will UK artists understand that not every song needs to feature a guest rapper? The video – I see no expense was spared. Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

UK MUSIC: JAYA FT YOUNG SIMMONS AND WRETCH 32 – OUTTA CONTROL

I keep seeing Jaya’s name popping up on Twitter, but this is the first time I’ve listened to one of her tracks. Outta Control features Young Simmons (yes oldest son of the annoying Rev Run Simmons) and UK rapper Wretch 32.  Jaya has a pleasant enough voice but the song isn’t really my cup of tea.  I can however see it getting regular spins on BBC 1xtra. The video – well it’s not supposed to be funny…but it is. Your thoughts please. []

UK MUSIC: WRETCH 32 – BORN WINNER

‘Born Winner’ is taken from Wretch’s new mixtape ‘Wretch32.com’. Erm… “Wizzy Wow” ?????? Anyway…. Lyrical Content and Flow –  Wretch is OK. I’ve heard a lot worse. Production – It’s decent. I like the beat. Image – UK male artists (rappers in particular) seriously need to develop close business relationships with fashion houses, stylists, barbers and nutritionists. Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

UK EVENT: LLOYD BANKS @ THE INDIGO2

G-Unit “soldier” Lloyd Banks is scheduled to perform at the IndigO2 this coming Friday (July 17th. UK support acts also performing on the night: Bashy, Sway, Wretch 32 and other surprise guests. Rumour also has it that the “great man” 50 Cent may put in an appearance and bless the audience with his lyrical prowess…………………… A friend of mine told me yesterday that a member from Lloyd’s street team offered her boyfriend a free ticket for Friday’s show worth £25.00. When did []
