TV drama Top Boy which aired on Channel 4 in October has been nominated for a BAFTA television award. The drama written by Ronan Bennett is up for Best Mini Series. Four-part channel 4 drama Top Boy which starts on Monday 31st October has been criticised by the mayor of Hackney Jules Pipe for perpetuating negative stereotypes of black people.
