Several days ago it was revealed that footballer Jermain Defoe and his mother Sandra St Helen had won the right to build a £4.5 million mansion out in leafy Essex, and also won the right to build a nightclub in the basement, a hair salon, card rooms, an underground swimming pool and a giant outdoor hot tub.
