UK NEWS: FORMER X-FACTOR CONTESTANT GAMU TO RELEASE CHARITY CHRISTMAS SINGLE

Former X-Factor contestant Gamu Nhengu has recorded a Christmas single in aid of a Scottish charity. Gamu who failed to make it to the live stages of the farcical TV show, will release the single  Where Will You Sleep This Christmas. The track will be released on 13 December. Gamu along with the rest of her family left Zimbabwe several years ago, and are currently battling to stay in the UK after they were granted the right to appeal against a decision forcing them to leave the country. UK NEWS: NIGERIAN SUICIDE CHILD RELEASED

  Via The Evening Standard A 10 year old Nigerian girl who attempted suicide after being detained in a Gatwick immigration centre for a second time has been released with her mother on the orders of Home Secretary Alan Johnson. Adeoti Ogunsola and her mother will appeal to stay in Britain.  Click here to read more about this story. This is just terrible.  Sadly though the chances of them being able to stay here on a permanent basis are still pretty slim.

Baroness Scotland I’m sorry but this is absolutely ridiculous! Via The Metro The Government was bracing itself for revelations from Baroness Scotland’s (The Attorney General) former housekeeper after she turned to publicity guru Max Clifford for advice. Tongan Loloahi Tapui, 27, was arrested by UK Border Agency officers in Chiswick, south west London. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said she was questioned over alleged immigration offences and released on bail until October. BUSTA RHYMES DETAINED AT LONDON CITY AIRPORT

Rapper Busta Rhymes has been detained at London’s City Airport after being refused entry to the UK because of “unresolved convictions” in the US. The star arrived on Thursday morning to perform at a charity gig on Friday. Immigration officials tried to put him on an immediate flight out of the country to Amsterdam but Rhymes’ lawyer secured an injunction preventing this. The 36-year-old is now being held while officials debate whether to let him enter the UK, the gig’s organiser said. []
