Hit producer Goldie and former Eastenders star Charles Venn will star in the new theatre production KINGSTON 14, written by BAFTA award-winning and Olivier-nominated playwright Roy Williams (Offside – BBC, Suckerpunch) and directed by Clint Dyer (Olivier-nominated The Big Life, The Westbridge). Musician Goldie has joined the campaign to ban destructive deep-sea trawling. On December 10, the European Parliament will vote on a raft of new regulations on deep-sea fishing. Campaigners say deep-sea trawling is wiping out ecosystems the size of Paris every day, and want the EU to ban deep-sea trawling in its waters, and see the debate as a chance to save threatened ecosystems from collapse. UK NEWS: GOLDIE’S SON JAILED FOR ‘LIFE’ FOR MURDER OF RIVAL GANG MEMBER
Jamie Price (23), the son of music star Goldie, was jailed for life yesterday for the murder of rival gang member Marlon Morris. Price chased and stabbed to death an unarmed and disabled Morris, after leaving a nightclub in Wolverhampton in 2008. He must serve at least 21 years in prison.
