An exhibition presenting the legacy of the British Black Panther movement will be coming to Brixton in October. Taking place at the Photofusion Gallery during Black History Month, the show will feature current portraits of Panther members and archive photographs shot by Neil Kenlock, the official photographer of the British Black Panther Movement. Black London’s Film Heritage has embarked on a search for material about Black London life from pre/post war years to the mid-1990’s for a programme that will be launched in March 2011. The project is inviting submissions from any London Borough archive, film and community organisations or individuals holding film material which depicts an African-Caribbean presence in London.
