Jamaica has voted the People’s National Party back in to power, which means the return of veteran PNP politician Portia Simpson Miller to the post of prime minister. Andrew Holness said it was a “humbling” defeat for his Jamaica Labour Party. Congratulations Portia Simpson Miller. Now get to work!

BNP (British National Party) leader and racist Nick Griffin was out and about today canvassing the streets of Barking for votes, with black pastor Rev James Gitau by his side. Griffin claimed the charade proved that his organisation is “no longer racist”. Rev James Gitau joined the far-Right party after it was forced to change its constitution to allow non-white members.
