VACANCY: QUEEN ELIZABETH II SEEKS SENIOR GARDENER

The Evening Standard reports that HRH Queen Elizabeth II is having difficulty finding a senior gardener to tend to her lawns. In October the post of “senior gardener” was advertised on the royal household website. The £15,750 job failed to attract a successful applicant so has been re-advertised, with a higher salary of £17,000 – an increase of 7.9 per cent. UK NEWS: GOLDIE TEAMS UP WITH PRINCE HARRY IN NATIONWIDE SEARCH FOR MUSICAL TALENT

Via BBC News Drum ‘n’ bass star Goldie has teamed up with Prince Harry to help organise a concert featuring 12 young musicians chosen after a nationwide search. BBC Two series Goldie’s Band – By Royal Appointment will follow Goldie as he searches the UK for 17 to 24-year-olds with “raw musical talent”. The musicians will then be mentored by artists including former Robbie Williams songwriter Guy Chambers. The series will end with a Buckingham Palace gig in front of Prince Harry. []
