Photograph: Via Bashy.com The The Mercury Newspaper reports that rapper Bashy will be visiting Greenwich to seek out the talents of rising young stars, as part of the Olympic legacy programme. The rapper will be at the Greenwich Heritage Centre on The Royal Arsenal site from Tuesday to Friday (July 14th – July 17th), as part of the CREATE09 Festival. I have a feeling that this is just one big joke. I mean what rapper in this day and age would admit to being beat down and then pose for pictures, showing off his bruised and cut face? The majority would rather eat dirt then admit to something like this happening. Anyway apparently UK rapper Bashy has been brutally assaulted and has posted the picture below on his blog. I’m not really feeling this. Bashy’s lyrical content here is conscious and thought provoking, but the messy production and the speeded up background vocals (soooo 2004) that you hear throughout only serve as a distraction. Bashy’s new album Bashy.com is out in stores now. Your thoughts please…….
