The Daily Mail reports that X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke is set to work with Akon and Pharrell Williams. Both have signed on to produce tracks for Burke’s debut album. UK rapper Sway teams up with Akon on his new single ‘Silver & Gold’, which is about a cold, manipulative, money hungry stripper. I admit ‘Silver & Gold is (kind of) catchy (well the hook is) but it’s strange hearing Sway rap on a track of this nature, and watching him attempt to look suave and sexy in the middle of a nightclub surrounded by attractive women. AKON SIGNS UK RAPPER SWAY

READ This has been on the cards for about a year and a half now. I guess now it’s “official”. Well… this will be interesting. Actually this union could prove to be a successful one for Sway. He’s a grafter and will make it work. Unlike some UK artists I could mention (ahem.. ahem.. Wiley), who sign to majors/their subsidiaries and then head for the hills when it suddenly dawns on them that they will be expected to WORK!!!!
