His last album/singles didn’t do particulary well, so it was to be expected at the end of the day. Plus Warner Music isn’t in a good place right now. The label is losing money hand over fist. I know she’s the Queen of Soul – All hail the Queen, but I really fear for Aretha. She looks dangerously over weight for her age and well on her way to suffering one almighty stroke. Over weight, black, high blood pressure – a fatal mix….. Thankfully, I’m hearing that Aretha is in the process of attempting to lose weight, so thats a relief! I am sitting here watching ‘Live From The Red Carpet – The Grammy Awards’ on the E! Entertainment channel. Leona performed ‘Bleeding Love’ at Clive Davis’ annual Pre-Grammy Party last night (Feburary 9th). From appearing as a contestant on X-Factor to performing on stage in front of the music industry elite… the girl has definitely come a long way. I am pleased to see that Simon Cowell stuck to his word and put the machine behind Leona. She deserves to go on to enjoy huge success.
