Last Thursday Mad News attended the The Industry Takeover – women in music seminar, showcase and open mic at Rich Mix in East London. Music artist Lioness, Chantelle Fiddy (Journalist/Contributing Editor, Rwd Mag), Annika Allen ( Editor-In-Chief of Flavour Magazine), Charmaine Hayden (Founder of Face4Music / Artist Manager), and Sarah Young (DJ/Stylist), made up the panel of successful ladies in music, and offered encouraging advice to those sitting in the audience eager to make their mark in the world of entertainment. UK artist DJ Ironik (real name James Christian Charters) was attacked and stabbed in the early hours of Saturday morning during an attempted robbery whilst returning to his home in North London. His spokesman said, “he was stabbed in his upper leg, taken to hospital and is currently being treated.
