UK rapper Griminal announced via Twitter yesterday that he has signed to Universal Music / All Around The World. Check out the photograph he posted of himself signing on the dotted line. Why artists like to post photographs of themselves signing their lives away is beyond me. I wonder if he even bothered to read the contract first. Anyway congratulations Griminal. Rapper JMC teams up with reggae star Sizzla on his new single Plot (scheduled digital release October 25th). I listened to Plot this morning and I really like the beat. However I strongly object to them ruining Sizzla’s vocals with the use of auto tune. That was so unnecessary. The video – There is nothing particularly outstanding about this promo, but I see some of it was filmed in my parents homeland so I’ll give it the thumbs up just for that. 😀 Your thoughts please. Boyband JLS has teamed up with Durex and launched their own brand of condoms Just Love Safe, which will be available to buy in stores on Monday. Group member Marvin said, “We came up with the idea of Just Love Safe as we wanted to send a clear message out to fans that are over 16 and sexually active – and that is to always use a condom during sex.” All proceeds from the sales of the condoms will go to the JLS Charitable Foundation. So Solid’s MC Harvey is back with the new single ‘Escape’ featuring Cash James. Via Brown Eyez Okay… the beat isn’t bad but the lyrics are WEAK ( who was still bussin the running man in ’95’???) and Cash James’ vocals just don’t sit well on the track. Harvey it seems is also the latest UK “Urban” soul to jump on the rap electro bandwagon…. Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?
