BBC Radio 1 Xtra’s music manager Austin Daboh, has announced via Twitter that he is to join Spotify as its new senior editor, content programming UK.

In an interview with Music Week, Daboh said:

“I’ve had an amazing journey at BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra, and will miss the team greatly. Spotify is the future of music consumption and I’m excited to be joining as a senior editor – I look forward to working with my new colleagues in breaking emerging acts and helping music lovers in the UK (and globally) discover new sounds.”
