Shouldn’t the host of this particular event be a respected figure from the black community? Shouldn’t he/she be a physical representation of those who are being honoured?
Why not invite Apprentice winner and successful business man Tim Campbell to host? Or if they wanted a personality that the youth is familiar with, why not Capital Xtra morning breakfast show host Kojo?
The decision to have Adam Deacon as the host is just ridiculous.
Anyway, congratulations to the young nominees and good luck.

Didn’t you know? Adam Deacon is an honorary black man. A well respected figure in the ‘urban’ community. I personally would have preferred Tim Westwood or Charlie sloth myself, but there you go.
I wouldn’t surprise me if they were actually contacted first.
