The Labour Black Network will be launched in London on 25th March 2014.
The event to be held at the Wilson Room, Portcullis House, from 18:00 to 20:00, will be hosted by Diane Abbott, Member of Parliament for Hackney North and Stoke Newington. It will be attended by the current Black Labour MPs.
David Lammy, Member of Parliament for Tottenham will address participants.
The Labour Black Network is a newly emerging membership organisation to support African and Caribbean members wanting to participate more fully in the Party or stand for public office.
It aims at increasing the number of Black people as Labour Councillors, MPs, Peers and MEPs and in key positions in the Party, including as staff and political advisers.
You are all invited to attend this free event. Since the room can only host 70 participants, you are advised to register as soon as you can.

I am surprised to read that David Lammy is involved. I thought he had more pressing matters to attend to, like campaigning for more cinemas in London.
