It has been announced that singer Jamelia (Jamelia Niela Davis) is to join the hit daytime ITV1 show Loose Women.
She will join the Loose Women presenting team as a panellist and her first show will be Wednesday 27th November.
Jamelia said:
“I’m absolutely chuffed to become a Loose Woman! I’m really looking forward to sharing my thoughts and feisty opinions with the other women and the viewers and can’t wait to get my teeth into some great debates and to discuss issues that really matter.”
Congratulations Jamelia.
Well done to her on securing that contract! We need a black woman on daytime TV – about time.
Damn, the power of Oprah Winfrey being on the show for a couple of minutes looool. Big up to Jamelia, hope it leads to bigger things. Is this the first black (not mixed race) woman they have had on this show as a co-host?
No Angie Le Mar and Trish Adudu have done it before but they swiftly disappeared.
Swiftly…….
@IceQueen
Thanks. Trish Adudu sure does get “swiftly” moved on from a lot of mainstream talk shows.
It’s funny how many times we curse out BBC for the amount of airtime they give to black people but ITV is the biggest culprit. The only other person they showed loved to was Ian Wright back in the day. Now it seems like Jamelia is the “black person” to go to for ITV. Cannot think of anyone other black person in the last 10 years (outside of News programs) that they have given decent screen time to?
