Funny how in the so-called Black magazines, it’s always about saving our sons NEVER our daughters.. The focus is always on Black men/boys yet our daughters needs “saving” too. I won’t even comment how “we” like to promote single parenting. anyway cute son!
Black girls def need saving same way, but there is a saying in the black community which says, black women raise their daughters and love their sons which I agree with, anyways this is one cover, maybe they done an article on saving our daughters. Jill Scott looks amazing, I agree with you on how we like to promote single parenting.
It must be an American thing to promote single parenting, because in the UK being a black single mother is the same as being in the KKK. Plus, this issue also has the marriage survival guide so i’m not sure that criticism is fair.
I agree we need to save both, but if we save our sons at a young age we may be able to reduce the single parents and daughters who go astray in the future.
