Actor/rapper Arnold Oceng aka Snakey Man has starred in children’s drama Grange Hill, Top Boy, The Tapes and Adulthood.

He says that black people complained the most about the hit Channel 4 drama Top Boy which aired last year. Yeah there were complaints because most of us are just tired of seeing young black men being depicted as the biggest set of losers on the planet, who spend their pitiful lives prowling around council estates engaging in road antics.
In response to his views on the black community’s reaction to Top Boy radio/Jump Off TV personality Miss Lala had this to say,
He blasts the black community for having issues with Top Boy, but then goes on to admit that all white people have seen of us is negative images on TV. So really, what the black community has to say is relevant, as he has just admitted that this is the case.

Start from 4:15. Thanks. Last night i watched funny man Martin Lawrence and he was saying the same thing about having hundreds of auditions and not getting the parts and being persistent being the key, and that the doors being slammed in your face being the driving force.
Anyway, he just shot himself in the foot. Ok, black people are complaining about top boy but you are tired of acting the same stereotypical roles of gangbanger and thuggery. Helloo, comeon now. 😀
Arnold, Snakey man is just full of contradictions. These young black British entertainment don’t seem to have a clue.
I think they are afraid to come out and say it out straight, just incase they get black listed.
