Guests on the panel are Michael Peters… it’s good to finally put a face to a Twitter account. Earlier this year I clashed with him on Twitter over some Obama/ the death of Osama Bin Laden tweets. Up he popped telling me what I should and should not tweet, like he was head of Obama’s legal team. I bet if I had been a man he wouldn’t have attempted to ‘tweet’ orders at me. I swear people lose their minds on Twitter. Hahahahaha.
But anyway I digress. Also on the panel is Jasmine Dotiwala, Kym Mazelle ( I was a huge Kym Mazalle fan) and 100m runner Tremayne Gilling.

This talk really bothers me. You have people organising the show about who balck people look up to and then when they show clips of those people guess who the biggest percentage are. White people eg David Beckham and the rest you can see for yourself in the clip. Couldn’t they find atleast more black people because half the time black people i believe relate to black celebrities (may not be true aswell). However i enjoyed listening to Kym and Tremayne because they had some important pionts they were making and were more relatable.
Ps, why have so many people on the panel when you cannot give them atleast enough time to explain what they have to say. Is it only me who thought the guests were being cut off in the middle of important points therefore it lacked a bit of depth. They could have few guests who would talk more than many guests who are made to talk less.
I rate what OHTV is doing but I too noticed those featured in that clip too. It makes no sense featuring David Beckham and LADY GAGA?????
Also Does Jasmine Dotiwala own a major stake in OHTV or something? She seems to be popping up everywhere.
Well i must say i love shows like this. I think there should be more of them featuring us talking about us. But i didn’t like the fact that they kept bringing up Madonna…. For one she is not Black. And as both of the two Lati & Shanna said…they could have shown more Black people to show… Lady Gaga…David Beckham…please… But i do appreciate just seeing us talk about our issues. We should have more of this here in the states. Why ask a question if you won’t let the person finish… makes no sense to me.. The media sucks and they way they portray Black men and woman ….is just unjust. Ok Janice if something like this comes on again…put it up…so i can see it.lol!
Can the show look at uplifting black accomplishments i.e the work of influential blacks such as scientists, inventors and etc stop the bias towards airing shows solely about black under achievemnet issues, being black is a positive and beautiful thing; lets educate not subjugate.
