The last ever issue of tabloid rag the News Of The World hit news stands this morning and has probably sold out everywhere by now.
Well it’s the end of an era but not the end of the phone hacking inquiry that signalled in the publication’s down fall.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Who would have thought that the mighty News of the World would close up shop? Certainly not in my lifetime. I still reckon it is a con and in a short while we will be faced with the replacement Sun on Sunday. Lets hope that Murdoch and News International have learnt their lesson and realise that they cannot get away with murder. Other newspapers, tabloid as well as snooty broadsheet take note.
It is a sad day for investigative journalism. Not all journalists at the NOTW were bad apples, just like not all MPs were not expense fiddlers and not all bankers were fat cats.
