First the film Anuvahood, which was described as being Friday meets Kidulthood and now this. It seems that UK “Urban” film is currently going though a “lighthearted”, heavily influenced by US films from yesteryear phase.
Well this will be interesting.

R u sure there going to reply coz im like soo sooo soooo interested …. or will they just ignore n pass by…
i jus have too much excitement for it that i dont want it to be fake or anything.
They are taking the piss out of CLASSIC Black movies dear to our hearts and out of Noel Clarke.
Is this going to be the new next big thing…referencing US movies and Noel Clarke movies together as the next big thing?
They need to stop taking the piss with this nonsense man!
What next 4,3,2,1, meets Poetic Justice. Where is the originality??? KMT!
Wonder if Adam Deacon is gonna have a cameo in this?
I’m sorry…. ‘scotchbonnet.tv’
I’m done…let me go and make one cup of tea and siddown!
Na man get back up and carry on what you saying is true
I don’t know but I ain’t really feeling Black British films well the ones that get promoted anywayz they always seem to be the same and now after anuvhood which I hated and thought was over the top we’ve got this, which is probably gonna be similar and have the same characters.
Now we’ve had the gritty black films like Bulletboy which I thought was rubbish and told the director so Kidulthood which I didn’t really like either, now it’s time to laugh at the black community either way it never has a postive message.
I remember speaking to the director of Bulletboy and him saying to me well I didn’t want to make it like Boyz n hood, but the thing with Boyz n hood was it had a strong postive message throughout the film and with the guidance of his father Trey kept out of gangs and trouble, these films are just rubbish and get play because they promote negative black sterotypes
I remember watching Kidulthood and then watching Tstosi a South African film, and couldn’t believe the difference, even thoughTstosi was about gangs and the shanty towns in South Africa it was done in a creative way that actually moved people which is what films are susposed to do, but films like Kidulthood and auvahood did nothing I forgot about it the second it was over, hopefully this one has some substance
ive been waiting for quite a while & still got no reply :(.
id advise u to still try though!
