When I first listened to this track I thought the beginning sounded promising but I didn’t like the rapping. I felt that Asante would be best off just singing. But then after a few listens it started to grow on me. The production is decent and I would say that Open My Heart is definitely a ‘grower’.

This is a big record. Really large emotional sound. I heard about a new UK urban artist whose songs been used in one of those vampire films. Is this the track? I can imagine hearing this on the twilight films.
Been trying to work out how to categorise this song. It’s part dub step, part jungle, part rock. Whatever it is I really like it. Very good.

I get why you’ve labelled it a grower wasn’t sure initially BUT it definitely caught my attention. First play thought “this is interesting” then played it again and thought, “no, wait, this is actually a hit, I like it”. I like the photo too, would like to hear more from him, it’s a refreshing change in comparison to some of the other ‘urban’ UK artists that have been churned out by the labels recently. The chorus is stuck in my head.
