A mother who sealed a puppy in a cardboard box to airmail it to her son for his 11th birthday has been told she cannot have the dog back.
Stacey Champion, 39, faces animal cruelty charges after trying to send four-month-old Guess as ‘a high priority’ parcel from Minneapolis to Atlanta, Georgia, without food, water, or airholes.

Had that parcel reached its destination, her son would have received a dead puppy on his 11th birthday.
