I didn’t believe this news when I first came across it but Sumit over at The Hip Hop Chronicle UK assures me it’s true.
50 Cent has signed former X-Factor contestant Gamu Nhengu to his G-Note label. The rapper formed the label in late 2010 for Pop, Dance and R&B artists, and in a statement released today the label revealed that they have renamed Gamu ‘Miss Gamucharai’.
“Miss Gamuchirai has been signed to 50 Cent’s new record label, G-Note! G-Note will focus on 50′s favourite acts that don’t fit neatly into G-Unit’s hip-hop categorisation and will favour pop and R&B artists.”
Congratulations Gamu and good luck.

So happy for her, I really like her voice,
I am just wondering which type of image and music they are going to give to her!
Good luck to her, but don’t like the new name though. They should have kept it simple!
Much success Gamu!
I’m happy for her….but what has he done lately? I just hope she really gets what she needs from this clown
What’s with the name change? LOL
You know americans are afraid of anything that sounds too African… So they made her sound Ghetto instead. Might as well just called her Shanaynay SMH
Well I hope and pray her career starts to take off and that she makes loads of money. she has a talent that needs nurturing in the right way.
Good luck to Gamu, and I hope 50 Cents behaves himself with her!
well this American thinks her African name is just fine!!! If it is your name then you should use it. Don’t know much about how other americans feel…do you? My main concern is that he do right by her…
