Allhiphop.com reports that rapper Gucci Man has been committed to a mental institution in Atlanta following a judge’s recommendation for him to serve jail time for violating the terms of his probation.

TMZ.com also reports that the rapper filed for a “Special Plea of Mental Incompetency” during his appearance yesterday (January 3rd), in front of a Fulton, County judge.

I don’t know if Gucci is just trying to pull a fast one here, but most of today’s rappers need psychiatric intervention, and he looks like he needs help.

Hopefully a good psychiatrist will have the power to convince Gucci to put the mic down.
