YouTube is a BEAST! I couldn’t believe my luck when I found footage of the classic early 90s (circa 1990/1991) BBC 2 music show Dance Energy, hosted by Normski.
If my memory serves me correctly Dance Energy used to air after the Fresh Prince Of Bell Air on a Monday/Tuesday nights at 6.30pm.
I made sure I never missed this show. I just loved sitting and watching the audience dance. This brings back memories.
Check out the footage below.
Awwww those were the days. High top fades and bright clothing.
Who else remember’s this show?

I remember Dance Energy. At the time it was the only place on terrestial TV where you could see urban music acts performing. I wonder what Normski is up to nowadays?
OMG THIS IS SOOOOO DOPE! I REMEBER THE FU-SNICKERS LOL
Yep, Dance Energy was essential viewing back in the day! Great stuff.
The audience looked like they were having so much fun and they had some decent acts on the show. I loved it. I don’t think they ever made another music show like Dance Energy.
