In my opinion the parents are damn liars.
The family had previously appeared on the US TV version of Wife Swap and the parents probably fell in love with life in the media spotlight during that period. So much so that they then decided to orchestrate yesterday’s incident to generate media attention on themselves again and it worked.
But now it’s backfired!

I saw this on tv this morning, and couldn’t believe what I was hearing, my heart went out to the family and couldn’t even begin to imagine what that poor boy went through, … to now find out it was a hoax!, for what publicity?… I wanna cuss.
what is the world coming to, ?… to be honest -I’m kind of disgusted!
it’s hard to believe that so many people believed that a 6 year old kid was still inside of this deflated balloon, even right at the end when it was barely keeping it’s own weight afloat
