Ice Cube
Rapper Bow Wow and rapper/actor Ice Cube will star in the new film comedy entitled Lottery Ticket.
According to Digital Spy
music video director Erik White is on board to steer the movie, which is about a young man in the projects who holds a winning lottery ticket worth $350 million. He must rebuff attempts from his opportunistic neighbour to steal the ticket over the weekend.
Abdul Williams wrote the script for the comedy, which has moved from its original home at Rogue Pictures to Alcon Entertainment.
Lottery Ticket will begin production in Atlanta this October.
Music video director Erik White will be “steering the movie”. I don’t like the sound of that! I’ve seen what happens when a music video director turns his hand to directing a feature length film…..
Hype Williams directed that huge MESS Belly, which starred DMX, Nas and former TLC group member T-Boz. Hype really should have stuck to directing music videos.
And don’t even get me started on the scenes that were shot in Jamaica!

this is erik white. unlike some other music video directors diving into the film world, this is my concept. “Lottery” is not a script that was passed around and eventually landed in my lap to “steer”. I am not trying to make a 2 hr music video LOL! For me, flashy “video style” camera work is second to telling a great story. Brett Ratner (X-Men, Rush Hour), David Fincher (Seven, Benjimen Button), Tim Story (Barbershop, Fantastic Four), and F. Gary Grey (Friday, Italian Job) are all directors that successfully made the transition from the music video world. I wont let you down:)
